I took my MacBook Pro to the Apple Store in Aberdeen today. I
was fed up with the poor performance of the battery after only having it for 5 months.
They ran a simple diagnostic on the battery from an iPod (as an external drive), and produced a beautifully coloured graph which I’ve recreated for you all to see. The y-axis is battery health (top = 100%). The x-axis is time (left to right). The results for my battery are shown by the black dot. Even though my battery was still ‘good’, they replaced it without question as the battery was ‘suspect’ i.e. In a few weeks it would have been in the red.

I’m delighted as I knew their was something wrong with it (thanks to iStat Pro). The whole process from start to finish took only 45 minutes. I’m no Apple fanboy, but it’s days like these I sing their praises and would recommend them to anyone.
Well done Apple Store Aberdeen, great customer service.
